About Fees and Costs
We are happy to provide fixed estimates for fees and costs, at no charge. Please feel free to contact us, there is no initial charge.
Patent Application Fees
Because of our extensive patent and trademark experience, including patent office experience, we are efficient and therefore we are able to keep costs low while keeping quality high.
Some typical service charges are:
Simple provisional patent application: $150 - $600, depending on difficulty.
The government filing fee is $110 for a small entity.
Simple utility patent application (1 or 2 figures of drawings): $1,150 - $1,400.
The government fees due at filing total $545.
Drawing costs for formal drawings: about $110.
Typical utility patent application (3-7 figures of drawings): $1,500 - $2,200.
The government fees due at filing total $545.
Drawing costs for formal drawings: about $270.
Complex patent application: (8-15 figures of drawings): $2,300-$3,800.
The government fees due at filing total $545.
Drawing costs for formal drawings: about $460.

Patent Search Fees
A patentability search is not required, but is advisable.
Costs range from $300 - $500 for an informal patent search depending on complexity.
For a formal patent search and patentability opinion, costs are $700 - $1,200. The patentability opinion is written by a registered U.S. Patent Attorney.
Trademark Application Fees
Our fee is $195 for preparing and filing the trademark application. The government fee is additional.
